A team that wanted to do more.

Formula Femme is a Brooklyn-based amateur cycling team focused on track racing that was founded in 2016. They want to expand the women's track field, get more female-identified people on bikes and end period stigma by fundraising for New Yorkers in need. RZ Designs was greatly inspired by this new women's teams motivation and became a sponsor and created a cycling kit design that embodied their great personalities.

INSPIRATION

Inspiration for the kit came strongly from having a design that had seperate sections of things going on with the design, the Formula Femme logos, wanting the colors chartreuse and a bold purple, and their request for a design that was not "girly-girl". They also were interested in something unique and are not scared of patterns. 

Formula Femme had their kits made by Verge Sports. They are now fully kitted out with jerseys, bibs, short sleeve skinsuit and wind jackets in their design and have been participating in the Six Days of Kissena, and the Wednesday night Twilight Series at Kissena Velodrome. Keep your eyes pealed for these rad up beat ladies next time you are in Brooklyn, New York.
